Fifteen Years And Counting

In 2002 Bear Cove Cottages opened it’s doors, with two completed cabins and a dream that would soon be a flourishing, bustling business on Northern Vancouver Island. Having spent many years working the seasonal resorts and loving the lifestyle, Wade and Shannon decided to give it a try on their own! The need for updated, more luxurious accommodations in Port Hardy was obvious and the proximity to the BC Ferries terminus to Prince Rupert even better!

Two kids, three boats and thousands of guests later, Bear Cove Cottages is still a going concern with many new plans on the horizon!

Our focus has mainly been on fishing for many years, but with the ever changing nature of tourism on Vancouver Island, we are happy to announce the addition of more hiking and wellness camps along with survivalists camps in the spring of 2018!
But with fishing still a main market, we have also expanded to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico offering all-inclusive offshore pelagic trips, for those who still crave their winter fishing fix!

All of the same Bear Cove hospitality…just bring your passport and flip-flops (and maybe a friend or two)!
